“I never forget a face, but in your case I’ll be glad to make an exception.”

Groucho Marx

I evaded my oral presentation today; I’ll be doing it after Christmas vacation.  That will give me a whole week to make a 2-3 minute video clip on violent video games.  I already bought the VHS tape because all of the ones I use are grainy from overuse.  A VHS tape is merely a serial hard drive, and I use it as such.

I want to tape some content from Call of Duty 2 from Mark’s computer, but my VCR doesn’t have an S-Video input.  I can’t believe that RadioShack wanted $21.99 for an S-Video to (yellow) Video converter!  An RF Modulator that has all sorts of inputs sells for about $17.99.  What the hell?  Some employee asked me if I needed help, and I told her that a lower price would be nice.  I asked if they had a non-gold version that was cheaper, and she responded that it wasn’t a Gold Series product in a tone that was very insulting (although, I wasn’t very nice either.)  What the hell?!  It was gold!  That always adds a dollar or two to the price.  Hopefully my grandma’s RF Modulator has an S-Video input, because I don’t feel like dropping $18 on a school project.

Happy Holy Days!

Sarah Lane disappoints… again…

I am now convinced that Attack of the Show steals all of their Internet content from Digg.  First I noticed a few common links, but on Friday, Kevin Pereira’s “Free Play Friday” was Halo Zero, the game I got from Digg on Monday.  I don’t care if they borrow from Digg, but cite your sources!

My senior pictures came in

Senior Picture 11/05

There will be more pictures coming, and they will be in much higher quality.  The scanner in the I.M.C. sucks… a lot.  This is the post-Photoshop picture.

“I don’t give a damn!”

“Puberty Boy” Joel M.’s band

I feel bad that I forgot the name of the band.  Anyway, Jamis’ Battle of the Bands was last Friday, and it wasn’t half bad.  The lateness was extremely disappointing, but I can’t blame Jamis.  I think they were supposed have the new gym, but the boy’s basketball game from earlier that week was postponed due to weather.  Of course the run-of-the-mill sports game gets seniority over the one-time-only Battle of the Bands that was scheduled for weeks (maybe months) in advance.  Whoever runs VH1’s Save the Music would shit his pants if he found out.

Hello, Star Vega won, and I’m pretty happy about that.  I wouldn’t have given them first place, but they certainly rocked quite hard.  It was nice seeing Dana Nordlund there.  I still need to post that picture of me that was put in a photographer’s magazine.  I’ve been meaning to post that sometime… I will eventually.  Sorry for ranting for you Jamis.  Feel free to correct any facts I screwed up.

…I’m still waiting for that CD, Joel…

Incredible 2D Halo Game Released!

“And here the greatly awaited day, the release of Halo Zero in its final version!”  The 2D adventure boasts a single player with multiple skill types, along with a strong multiplayer mode.  Worth a shot from anyone who has a few minutes!  This looks great for Brian, who can’t play Halo because he has integrated Intel graphics.
